Zero VPNReview 2026: Before You Buy, Is It Worth It?
- Written By Eric Raue Cybersecurity & Tech Writer
Zero VPN Overview
If you’re in a hurry, here’s the bottom line — You can get more servers globally, better VPN features, and 24/7 customer support with Surfshark for the same price or less. So why bother reading on?!
The mobile VPN market is rapidly growing, yet full of almost identical apps. How can a provider switch things up and offer a VPN service that stands out?
ZeroVPN’s answer to this dilemma is an ultra-simple, reliable client — in other words, going back to the basics.
This VPN is currently Android-exclusive, offering a modest number of servers on three continents. It likes to advertise itself as a free service, but don’t be fooled — the network is severely limited unless you upgrade to the paid VIP package.
Still, ZeroVPN remains a cheap mobile solution for basic unblocking purposes — services like Facebook, WhatsApp, Pandora, and others can be accessed despite censorship efforts. Netflix or BBC iPlayer, however, won’t crack.
There are other benefits — ZeroVPN requires no registration, and has quicklaunch for specific apps. You won’t be getting much else, but at this price, it’s expected.
In short, this VPN doesn’t keep user logs, but it’s ambiguous on session data and third-party usage. This raises some eyebrows.
Overall, ZeroVPN is a solid little mobile app, but steer clear if you’re looking for zero-compromise privacy.

Many mobile-exclusive VPNs operate on a smaller scale, therefore treating some elements of the user experience as afterthoughts. Sadly, ZeroVPN is no exception.
Apart from the one-click Android app, there isn’t much attention to detail. ZeroVPN’s straightforward package doesn’t necessarily warrant excellent support, but we’d like to see better customer care in the future.
I have noticed that ZeroVPN appears to prioritize soliciting positive reviews rather than ensuring users feel valued and appreciated. You can contact the provider via email if you have a problem (or a suggestion), but there’s no guarantee when you’ll get an answer, if at all.
